Chris Powell - In The Mood (Double DVD)

This is another first as it's a double DVD with each disc played on a different organ. Disc one is played on the Roland Atelier AT-900C electronic, while disc two played on a Wurlitzer. Both instruments were recorded in the Burton Upon Trent Town Hall. The filming of this DVD is pretty straight forward, but effectively done as it seems to use two cameras, both fixed on the console (one left, one right). Apart from the occasional full-length and picture-in-picture shots, everything is shot like this, which I think looks a more professional than some of the hand-held shots from other releases. This DVD is of grand proportions, being a quadruple DVD release from Carol Williams on her Melcot Music Label. This is the fifth DVD in her "Tourbus" series which feature tours of various organs around the World. The first three DVDs mainly toured around organs in the USA, with volume four set in Paris. Trevor Bolshaw - Folly Farm Wurlitzer (DVD)

This new DVD comes from the Raymer Sound label which specialises in jazz CDs, but also has a handful of organ CDs in their catalogue (one by Trevor Bolshaw and two by Mark Ireland). This is their first organ DVD and was recorded at the Folly Farm Wurlitzer in Begelly, Pembrokeshire in November 2010 (and released in March this year).
